Education: MSW, RSW

Background: With a decade of community work in Toronto, Kate has supported young adults, newcomers, LGBTQ+ individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and those facing homelessness and addiction. This background informs her understanding of systemic inequity, respect for cultural context, and commitment to social justice.

Specialty: Supporting folks navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief & loss. Her special interests include friendship issues; assisted conception and solo parent planning; and burnout among community workers and artists. 

Approach: Kate’s demeanor is warm, encouraging, authentic and curious. Coming from a humanist framework, she pulls from Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Perspective: Kate believes that a supportive and dedicated space for people to navigate their experiences, and deepen their connection to their emotional worlds, provides remarkable opportunities for growth, healing and transformation.
