PRACTICE CURRENTLY FULL
Education: MSW, RSW
Background: Kate’s counselling practice is informed by 10 years of community work in neighbourhoods across Toronto. As a social worker, she has experience supporting young adults, LGBTQ+ folks, newcomers and refugees, survivors of domestic violence, and people experiencing homelessness and addiction.
Specialty: Supporting folks who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, burnout, and grief and loss
Approach: Kate’s demeanor is warm, encouraging, and curious. She seeks opportunities to co-create an approach with clients based on their interests, identities and goals. Coming from a humanist framework, she uses narrative, strengths-based, and mindfulness-based interventions. Kate’s goal is to support those she works with to connect with their emotions, find inner resilience and build a personal well-being practice.
Perspective: Kate believes that a supportive and dedicated space for people to navigate their experiences, and deepen their connection to their emotional worlds, provides remarkable opportunities for growth, healing and transformation.
